Festivities for the countdown typically include amazing performances from renowned artists, fireworks, live music, concerts, karaoke. Although the date is yet to be announced, this edition is expected to follow the tradition of previous years, taking place on New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2025, into the early hours of January 1, 2026.

2. Johnny’s Room Live

On December 7th, Johnny Drille, who is known for his unique folk-inspired sound, would be performing live at Oniru, Lagos. It’s definitely advisable to go with a romantic partner. 3. The Cavemen Concert

The three-day event will take place from December 22nd to 24th, at Muri Okunola Park, Victoria Island, aiming at creating a lively mix of fun, culture, and entrepreneurship.

6. Juma Jux in Lagos
Juma Jux, the Tanzanian music star popularly known as Nigeria’s “Tanzanian in-law” after his marriage to Nigerian actress Priscilla Ajoke Ojo, will be performing live in Lagos on December 18. The concert will take place at Ilubirin, Ikoyi, with doors opening at 3 PM.
This event marks Juma Jux’s first major concert in Nigeria and is highly anticipated as a pan-African celebration, bridging Tanzania’s Bongo Flava and Nigeria’s Afrobeat music.

7. Kizz Daniel Live in Lagos
Kizz Daniel is scheduled to perform a live concert in Lagos on 27th December. The concert will be held at the Eko Convention Centre. With a strong fan base in Lagos, this event is expected to draw a large crowd eager to celebrate the festive season with great music, dance, and a lively crowd.

8. The Bonfire Experience

9. Fireboy DML Live in Concert

10. Flytime Music Festival
The Flytime fest is a highly anticipated annual music festival featuring top industry artists, for several days of unforgettable live performances. The 21st edition, taking place from December 22 to 25, 2025, at Lagos Eko Convention Center, promises to be its biggest and most exciting lineup yet.

This year, the festival proudly features concerts that are part of two major tours of 2025.
Firstly, the Davido’s much-talked-about 5IVE Tour, supporting his fifth studio album also titled “5IVE.” The tour which kicked off on October 26, 2025, in Akwa Ibom, has made stops in several cities, and would be wrapping up with a grand finale in Lagos on 25th December.
