Not all concerts are about secular chart-toppers. Sometimes, the real fun happens when thousands come together not just to party, but to worship. The Experience perfectly exemplifies this kind of spectacular gathering, proving year after year that gospel music and heartfelt praise can move crowds just as powerfully as any mainstream festival.

Since its inception two decades ago, The Experience has grown from a modest local worship night into one of Africa’s largest gospel concerts, featuring artists and worshippers from around the continent and beyond.
Although it is hosted by Pastor Paul Adefarasin, the Senior Pastor of House on the Rock, The Experience is not tied to a single church or denomination. Rather, it is a vibrant and inclusive Christian gathering where believers of all backgrounds come united by a singular passion: glorifying God through music.

Highlights of The Experience 2025
This year’s edition of The Experience themed “Jesus United,” marked another milestone in the event’s remarkable journey and was eagerly anticipated well before the night of the concert.
In the weeks leading up to December 5, 2025, when the event was to take place, a lively social media frenzy captured the excitement and spiritual anticipation building across Nigeria and beyond.
The official hashtag #TE20 trended widely, uniting fans and worshippers as they shared testimonies, countdowns, and clips of rehearsals.
Recognizing the scale and significance of the event, the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) stepped up to ease the logistics for attendees, announcing extended operating hours on the Blue Line of the Lagos Rail Mass Transit (LRMT), till December 7, 2025.
This thoughtful move ensured thousands could commute to and from the venue with ease, highlighting how The Experience has become a vital fixture on Lagos’ social and spiritual calendar.

Held at Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS) in Lagos, the free all-night concert featured a powerful mix of several renowned Nigerian gospel artists like Mercy Chinwo, Tolu Odukoya, Frank Edwards, Sinach, Dunsin Oyekan, and international stars including Travis Greene, Naomi Raine, Chandler Moore, among others. These artists delivered passionate ministrations, captivating a crowd whose size was matched by the depth of their devotion.

Some other major features included the debut performance of Afro-fusion gospel artist Gaise Baba, following his hit song, ‘No Turning Back II,’ and a breathtaking praise performance by comedian and singer, Akpororo.

Other comedians like Forever, were also present to make the atmosphere even more lively and entertaining.

A very powerful highlight of the evening was the inspiring sermon by Pastor Paul Adefarasin, whose words resonated deeply with the audience.
He affirmed, “I believe in the unity of the body of Christ!” Emphasizing on the strength found in collective worship, urging attendees to carry the spirit of unity beyond the event.
He also admonished Nigerians regarding the state of the nation: “Let’s stop criticizing where our country is, let’s envision and plan a road map to take Nigeria to where she really belongs – that is my true passion.”

After the event, many attendees took to social media to share their thoughts on The Experience 2025 and how impactful the night was:
“So much awesomeness from dusk to dawn through phenomenal praise, powerful worship, inspiring sounds, uplifting fellowship and exceptional workforce. Jesus forever be praised!” – @stateofsurprise, “I love THE EXPERIENCE” – @chynazam_ekpere, “It was my first time experiencing such a spirit-filled, glamorous and joyful event. I made it a promise to be there after years of watching online.” – @olalekan_emmanuel.
More than mere entertainment, The Experience 2025 was a reminder of the power of Christian unity and worship beyond denominational lines. It transcended being just a concert; it was a massive celebration of faith, togetherness, and the enduring power of gospel music to inspire and uplift.
