Since its inception seven editions ago, it’s safe to say Johnny’s Room Live has grown into a cherished tradition for Johnny’s fans and lovers of soulful music at large.
The 2025 edition, tagged “The Year of Perfection,” kicked off in Abuja and made a stop in Lagos, as one of the top events in Lagos this December.
Highlights of Johnny’s Room Live in Lagos
The event was held at SystemSpecs (HQ), Chief Yesufu Abiodun Oniru Road, Lagos.
The evening began with phenomenal performances by Abbey, Ruona, and Kaey – the winners of the Enter Johnny’s Room challenge.
The show also featured a diverse lineup of artists, including Victory Gbaks, gospel singer Limoblaze, Fkyo, and Mavin Records stars Elestee, Cupid SZN, and their newly signed sensation Lovn.
Adding to the night’s fun were comedy, poetry, and live band performances by Kennyblaq, Havfy, and The Recurrence, respectively.
Few hours into the night, Nigerian presenter Ik Osakioduwa called the man of the night to the stage – Johnny Drille! Johnny made a stunning entrance, kicking his performance off with one of his hit songs, “Believe Me.”
Soon after, the crowd went wild as music star Tiwa Savage made a surprise entrance, joining Johnny on stage for a breathtaking performance of “Over the Moon.” The cheers grew even louder as he went on to perform other fan favorites like “Lover,” “Halleluya” and several other hits.
Another memorable presence was that of the maestro Cobhams Asuquo, who delivered a powerful and soulful cover of “(Everything I Do) I Do It For You.”
However, the major highlight of the event was the crowd itself. Couples filled the room, creating an atmosphere so full of love, just like the bond between Zinny and Uzoma. This made the singles feel so out of place, to the extent that some took to social media jokingly asking for a singles-only version from Johnny.

Even Don Jazzy tweeted, “Last night at Johnny Drille’s concert I was just rolling my eyes at all the relationship people hugging, kissing, and dancing.”
As if the night wasn’t emotional enough, there was a surprise moment that had everyone talking. With Johnny’s acknowledgment, a young man stepped onto the stage, turned toward his special lady in the audience, and asked her to be his girlfriend – of course, she said yes! That moment definitely raised the bar for public displays of romance at concerts.
Overall, Johnny’s Room Live in Lagos was definitely worthwhile for everyone who attended. However, if you missed Lagos, don’t worry. Johnny’s Room Live still has two more stops this year: Ibadan on December 13 and Benin on December 28, 2025.
Expect the same great music, laughter, and love-filled atmosphere. Don’t hesitate to come, even if you’re single. According to Johnny, “everyone is welcome,” and you just might find your special person there.
