In the bustling city of Dubai, where every moment counts, Simbiat Abike Oladipupo, a Dubai-based makeup artist and founder of Oasis MUA, is helping women reclaim their time without sacrificing their beauty routines. In this interview, she highlights her entrepreneurial journey and the impact of her masterclass.
Can you tell us a little bit about your background?
My name is Simbiat, and I’m a Dubai-based makeup artist and founder of Oasis MUA. I’m widely recognized for my clean beat style — makeup that enhances a woman’s natural features while keeping her looking effortlessly polished. My journey began in Nigeria, where my passion for beauty and transformation first took root. Over time, that passion grew into a purpose — helping women feel confident, valued, and beautiful through makeup. Today, I’m proud to be one of the few Black makeup artists in Dubai offering both everyday glam and destination makeup experiences around the world.

My Spouse has been here for years, and I joined him right after our wedding.
How is it like being an entrepreneur in the UAE compared to Nigeria?
Both places come with unique lessons. In Nigeria, entrepreneurship teaches you resilience — you learn how to make things work even when resources are limited. In the UAE, things are more structured, but the beauty world is fierce. You have to be consistent, professional, and adaptable to stay relevant. The UAE offers great opportunities for growth, but you must be strategic and intentional about your brand. For me, the transition has been rewarding because it’s helped me refine my processes and operate at an international standard.
Can you tell us about the Time Saver Glam Class and what inspired it?
The Time Saver Glam Class was designed for busy women who love makeup but often say, “I never have the time.” I wanted to change that narrative – teaching women how to achieve flawless looks even with tight schedules. It was inspired by my clients and followers who wanted simplicity without compromising on beauty. My goal was to show that makeup can be both quick and elegant when you understand the right techniques.
Is this your first masterclass, and did it match your expectations?
This isn’t my first masterclass, but it’s one of my most intentional and refined experiences. I approached it with a clear vision — to combine learning, confidence-building, and community. Seeing how engaged and inspired the attendees were exceeded my expectations. The energy in the room was unmatched; it was more than a class — it was a celebration of women taking time for themselves.
However, no event is without its hurdles. Simbiat faced logistical challenges, particularly securing a venue that met critical requirements: ample space, good lighting, catering, and valet parking, without breaking the bank.
After a careful search, she chose the DoubleTree by Hilton in Business Bay. This location was a perfect fit, and enormously contributed to the workshop’s success.
Despite the hurdles, the highlight for Simbiat was witnessing the transformation in her attendees. “Seeing them realize, ‘I can actually do this,’ and watching their confidence grow was priceless,” she says.
Fueled by the success of the Time Saver Glam Class, Simbiat is already planning new interactive sessions in Dubai and looking at taking her workshops global, potentially to cities like Lagos and London. Her vision is to continue creating spaces where women can explore beauty on their own terms, free of time constraints.
