Juma live in Lagos: A Night of Love, Music and Family

When love binds, it is a bond that can transcend borders. A typical example is the bond between Juma Jux and his Nigerian wife, Priscilla Ojo.

Due to this union, on December 18, 2025, Tanzanian music icon Juma Jux brought his Bongo Flava energy to Lagos via his “Juma Jux Live in Lagos” concert.

The superstar, popularly called “Our Tanzanian In-law” by netizens, expressed that his decision to hold a concert in Lagos is a testament to his appreciation for the country’s music scene and his desire to connect with his Nigerian fans, who he sees as his second family – all thanks to his marriage to Priscilla.

Highlights of Juma Live in Lagos

Proudly sponsored by major brands like Heineken, Pepsi, Desperados, Livespot360, among others, the event was held at Ilubirin, Ikoyi, Lagos.

The evening started out with an opening hype performance by Dj Delvick , and fire dance performance by a crew of fire dancers, before moving on to the major highlight of the event – Juma’s entrance.

Juma’s dramatic entrance featured him being suspended by ropes from above the stage. Dressed in a green-and-white outfit symbolizing the Nigerian flag and accompanied by drummers holding big lit drums and drumsticks, he descended onto the stage as dancers swiftly went into formation.  

Thereafter, he began his performance with his opening song, “God Design.”

While others considered the entrance creative and commended it, some made funny remarks like: “Our in-law, if that rope mistakes and cuts, Nigeria nor get emergency ambulance o!” (@hope_charles_) and “Fly away Peter, fly away Paul.” (@cherry_top30).

Nevertheless, Juma’s performance went on for hours. In between, he featured other artists like Ekunrawo music, Debbie Ohiri, Qing Madi, Phyno, and Tanzanian music icon Diamond Platnumz. He also featured creatives like comedian Broda Shaggi and dancer Softmadeit.

In total, Juma Jux rocked three outfits during his performance: a green-and-white opener, a midway all-black look with glittering jacket, and a finale featuring a singlet, black jacket, and glittering trousers.

During the show, Juma called his wife Priscy on stage, and she was seen running to her husband. When she got on stage, Juma Jux introduced her to the fans, saying, “This is my wife, the love of my life” while performing “Thank You” as a promise of everlasting love.

As expected, Nigerians came out in their numbers to show nothing but support for an artist they now consider their own.

Celebrities present included world-record-holding chef Hilda Baci, content creator and influencer Diana Eneje, popular lifestyle influencer Enioluwa, Nollywood actress and producer Toyin Abraham, veteran actress and Priscilla’s mother Iyabo Ojo, hairstylist and entrepreneur Chiomagoodhair, media personality Sophia Momodu, event promoter and talent manager Oga Paulo, among others.

Overall, Juma Jux live in Lagos was a testament to how music and love can transcend borders and pave way for unity.
