On December 28, 2025, Afrobeats superstar and global legend Wizkid held a major homecoming concert in Lagos.
This experience, which took place at Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), meant the world to fans, as the Grammy-winning artist proved his unmatched command of the stage yet again.
Wizkid Live in Lagos: The Highlights
Similar to The Experience 2025, the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) recognized the scale and significance of Wizkid Live in Lagos, prompting it to step up to ease logistics for attendees by announcing more trips on the Blue Line of the Lagos Rail Mass Transit (LRMT) from 8 a.m. on Sunday, December 28, to 6 a.m. on Monday, December 29, 2025.

The show, which was tagged G.O.A.T: The Greatest of All Time Experience, kicked off around 9:30 p.m., with opening acts like Seyi Shay, OG Abbah, CDQ, Ceeza Milli, Good Girl LA, Garvicii, and others.

As expected, the crowd was massive, with thousands of fans patiently waiting for the superstar’s arrival on stage.

Finally, by 1:20 a.m., dressed in his signature white singlet and black pants, Starboy stormed the stage, and the crowd went wild!
He immediately went straight to business, kicking off his performance with “Jaiye Jaiye,” a song he featured Femi Kuti, son of the renowned Fela Kuti.

Thereafter, he went on to perform recent hit songs like “Money & Constant,” “Kese,” and lots more. He even took it back in the day with songs like “Wiz Party,” “Caro,” and “Don’t Dull.”
Guest appearances by Tiwa Savage, Young Jonn, and Poco Lee made the show even more entertaining, with DJ Tunez (Wizkid’s official DJ) hyping up the crowd as usual.

A major highlight of the event was the arrival of the Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, whose presence made it very evident that this event was one of a kind.

The show wrapped up with Wizkid promising an annual Detty December concert tradition. This made fans extremely excited as they took to social media to share their joy: “The owner of Lagos is back!” – @rickysmart2357, “As Wizzy don talk, I won sell my papa house today take do Detty December!!” – @officialmrgovernor.
In the end, Wizkid’s G.O.A.T Experience wasn’t just a concert. It was a strong reminder of his dominance in the music industry, while uniting Lagos in an unforgettable experience of spectacular Afrobeats music.
